Migrant traffickers arrested at airport

Authorities have announced the arrest of the suspected leader of an organised migrant-trafficking operation operating in Greece for the past two years, as well as one of the gang members. The arrest was carried out at Athens International Airport on Thursday morning. The two men arrested were a 29-year-old Afghan national and a 22-year-old accomplice from Bangladesh, who were discovered as they were trying to get seven Afghan nationals that they had provided with fake passports and electronic boarding cards onto a flight to a European Union country. A third member of the gang, an Algerian, is also being sought.
