Prison officials say some 400 immigrants remain in Greek prisons, having already served their sentences, because of difficulties with carrying out their deportation orders. Spyros Karakitsos, head of Greece's Prison Guards' Association, said the immigrants were being trapped in the prison system, typically for 12 months on top of their sentence.
