The most prominent Greek diaspora organisation, The American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association, publicly denounced the rise of right-wing extremism in Greece in a press release on Monday. Specifically, they expressed concern about the rise of racially motivated hate crimes in Greece, as well as to the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party’s decision to open up a branch in New York City.
