Seventy would-be migrants intercepted

Seventeen would-be migrants were escorted to the resort of Palaiokastritsa by a coast guard vessel on Monday after the inflatable dinghy in which they had been seeking to cross from the Ionian island to Italy was spotted by a helicopter belonging to the European Union’s border monitoring agency Frontex.
