Trafficker stabs officer in Evros

A 51-year-old policeman on border patrol in Evros in northern Greece was injured in a scuffle with a suspected human trafficker on Thursday, according to reports. The policeman received multiple stab wounds -- none of which was serious -- as he tried to arrest a 20-year-old Iraqi man who had been seen rowing a boat across the river that marks Greece’s border with Turkey.
