A 40-year-old British woman, a resident of the Aegean island of Symi, was swept away by torrential waters and drowned late Monday. The woman, in an attempt to save her motorbike which had been swept away, was trapped in the torrent and drowned. The woman's body was found two hours later following a rescue operation.
