Police break up lap-dancing ring

Police freed three Russian women being held against their will, during raids to break up a ring that supplied bars with lap dancers, authorities said on May 12. Two Greek men, a woman from Uzbekistan and a man from Kazakhstan were arrested as suspected members of the ring that lured young women from Russia on promises of bar work. All four were charged with participation in organised crime, abduction, people smuggling, and pimping and pandering. Police said the ring operated on a "large scale".
