Nearly two years in the making, the Athens municipality's new, ultramodernimmigrant services centre opened its doors to the public on January 24. Athens Mayor Dora Bakoyannis cut the ribbon at the opening of her municipality's long-awaited immigrant services centre near central Metaxourgio Square on January 24. Plans for the centre had been announced to the public in April 2003.
