Illegal immigrants

The coast guard detained 41 illegal immigrants yesterday off the islet of Vatos, near the Aegean island of Chios. Two men, aged 30 and 29, traveling with the migrants were arrested, accused of transporting them into Greece. Authorities said that the migrants destroyed the wooden boat they were traveling in shortly after reaching the islet. No further information concerning the migrants or alleged smugglers was given.
