Ring produced fake EU papers
Two men were arrested in Athens yesterday for their involvement in a racket that allegedly produced fake European Union residency documents for non-EU residents. Police said they discovered an area in Ilion, western Athens, set up with high-tech computers that produced the forged papers for migrants. For a fee ranging between –100 and –500, foreign nationals living illegally in Greece could obtain the documents, which apparently offered Romanian citizenship, authorities said.
