Parliament approves new June 30 application deadline

In a vote taken May 18, Greek parliament passed a bill tabled by the interior ministry containing a provision that will allow thousands of migrants in Greece to secure legal residence. The amendment approved by parliament states that residence permits that expired 30 June 2003 (based on Article 23 in Law 3103/2003) will automatically be rendered valid until the end of June of this year.
