New reception centre for asylum-seekers

Interior ministry general secretary Athanassios Vezyrgiannis said last week the government will set up a reception centre for asylum-seekers near the country's border with Turkey in the Evros region. The new facility will serve as a temporary holding centre for foreigners. The capacity has yet to be determined. It will be ready in five months, according to Vezyrgiannis.
